Nela Ceramic Salt & Pepper Shakers

We just got the neatest salt & pepper shakers in - so cool. There's only one hole in the bottom - that's where you pour the salt or pepper in and that's where the salt and pepper comes out when you shake the shaker. They are in glaze dipped colors or hand-painted designs.

These unique shakers are made by Marianela Borsten. Marianela worked in the family graphic arts and advertising business in her home country of Venezuela. This experience not only provided a strong foundation in visual communications, but it challenged her to seek a balance between the artistic and functional ideals that would eventually surface in her work as a full time clay artist. Since relocating to South Florida, Marianela founded Nela Ceramics where she creates a whole new approach towards the function of art in our daily lives.
