Lazy Susans from Shauna Morrissey

We've just received fantastic hand-painted work from Shauna Morrissey. Fifteen inch and twenty inch lazy suzans that have the richest colors and would be beautiful in any home. The larger ones can even be hung on the wall as art or use them on a table to brighten up your kitchen or dining room.

Shauna Morrissey grew up in Northern California and moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1993. In 2000, after a particularly difficult year, she started building tables and painting them as therapy. Her tables and artwork were received with great enthusiasm, so Shauna decided to pursue this new passion full time.

In 2003, one of Shauna's designs was picked by PetSmart to be featured in their semi-annual "Just a Buck, Change Their Luck "campaign and raised over Three Million Dollars. These funds are used by PetSmart to support no kill shelters and fund adoption programs. This was an enormous thrill for Shauna and brought her company and artwork national attention.

Her products are finely crafted from alder, birch, poplar and pine. Each design is drawn onto the products, scored into the wood with a burning tool and underpainted by the creative employees at the studio of Shauna Morrissey. Shauna herself does all the finish painting, creating the shading and depth of each design. All of her paints and finishes are water-based and non-toxic.
