Coasters and Trivets by John Wayne Jackson

The coasters and trivets by John Wayne Jackson are carefully made using real leaves and each coaster has 4 different leaf patterns. The coloration comes from natural sands and minerals held together in a stone-like substance, OmegaStone, invented by John. Each piece is intentionally designed to look like a fossil dug from the earth and cut from stone. Holes, cracks and fissures result from the spontaneous process used to make these pieces, much like rock formed in the earth. Variations in color and texture are guaranteed, as this is a one of a kind piece of art. The sparkle you see when it is held under a light comes from naturally occurring minerals.

Stiles in Clay

Chris Stiles creates a line of ceramic birds that possesses an unmatched and unique palette of colors through a process called pit firing. When putting together a group of birds, they make it a point to create a family. This firing process is one of the oldest known techniques used by man. The birds are slowly eased into the fire and covered with wood, sawdust, seaweed and other burnable materials. As the flames and smoke lick the surface of the birds, rich colors start to appear. When the birds are pulled out of the smoldering fire, the individual personality of each bird is revealed.

Pottery from Richard and Robin Sanchez

Fired Up Clay Works - Great Looking, Hardworking Terra Cotta - The Favorite of Cooks for over 10,000 Years!

Terra cotta is Italian for baked earth. The warm, rich clay is a wonderful choice for the modern, natural home. The raw, elemental clay brings echoes of the past which join with fresh new colors to make something useful and beautiful. The work is made to be used and enjoyed. Terra cotta cooks like a dream - it holds the temperature and transmits the heat well. It is all oven and dishwasher safe. All of the pottery is leadfree.

Richard and Robin have been creating their handmade pottery in their Eugene Oregon studio for over 30 years. They hand throw, build or mold each piece. After the pot dries they paint it with up to 15 coats of our own underglazes. These colors are fired into the pot and will never fade. They then coat the pot with their leadfree glaze.

Earring Trees by the Earth Studio

Every piece of metal art from the Earth Studio begins with inspiration from their spectacular natural environment in Moab, Utah. By combining technology, production, and handcrafted finishes, they offer you art that is both unique and affordable. They seek to amuse and entertain when they create a product. Their designs are inspired by the amazing rock art and critters of the canyons, then they infuse them with their own sense of motion (and humor, sometimes) to give them life!

Fused Glass Vases

We just received these beautiful fused glass vases from Ebba Krarup in a variety of colors. We also have her single bud vases and business card holders. The triple vases come in two sizes - either large or small. They add a spot of color to your table.

Blown Glass Hummingbird Feeders

The dance that is Glassblowing involves elements of passion, fluidity, drama, spontaneity, choreography, temperature and timing all working together. The hot glass seems to have a life of it's own: creating a piece to completion is an immensely rewarding experience bounded by a narrow time window as the glass cools.

Fine crystal batch is melted in a furnace at 2300 degrees F, gathered on a metal blowpipe and rich colors are added and transformed into unique patterns. Then it is mouth-blown and shaped free-hand without molds using gravity, centrifugal force and hand tools at the bench. When the piece is formed to the David Kendall's specifications, it is then annealed (slowly cooled) which makes the glass durable. The hummingbird feeders are beautiful yet functional.

Cowboy Boot Bag from Erda

The Tall Boot Tote is made from the tops of real cowboy boots (but not used ones, so no cowboy sweat!) so every one will be different! Inside, there's a detachable cell phone/ glasses holder, made from a child's size boot top. And now there's a handmade concho button to close it.

We've got them in two sizes and you'll just love the colors! Stop by and check them out.

Porcelain Jewelry by Tim Garvin

Tim Garvin of Blue Bus Studio creates jewelry using numerous ceramic and metal techniques - slip trailing and brushing, stenciling, forming and etching. The extreme detail and intense color in his ceramic work results from the use of over 500 different colors of clay in an ancient technique known as millefiori. In this technique, carefully designed loaves of clay are formed from colored porcelains. Next, cross sections are sliced from the loaves and these sections are shaped and finished into individual pieces.

We have a collection including post and dangle earrings, pendants, reversible pendants and bracelets. Come check out the beautiful colors and designs!
