Bar Ware from Paul Custis

We've just received beautiful bottle stoppers, corkscrew and bottle topper combinations and spirit pourers from Paul Custis. Paul turns wood and each piece is one of a kind. Here's what Paul has to say about his work, "When I first used a wood lathe fourteen years ago, I knew my creativity and talents had found a home. More often than not, I handle the wood I use from the tree's harvest to the end product. This familiarity lets me incorporate the features of a particular tree into each piece and allows for an infinite possibility of design in my work". Get one for your favorite wine connoisseur or to use at home when the spirit takes you!

Pigskin Glass Plates

These decorative 12” square glass plates are called “pigskin glass” because the backing was originally made from pigskin leather. Manuel Silva and Robert Ornelas are the artists that created these plates. The pigskin glass is environmentally friendly and is made with recycled window glass, water based paint, foil and screen mesh. It is made by first placing the backing material in a mold, decorative material is applied to the backing and glass is placed on top. The glass is then heated in a kiln where the heat causes the colors to mix and “slumps” the glass to seal the piece.

Alarm Clocks by Pam Corwin

These cute little travel alarm clocks from Paper Scissors Rock are made from prints of Pam Corwin's original art work. Each one has a lucite ring for a second hand with a relevant symbol to denote the seconds passing by. The martini clock shown has an olive, the baseball mitt has a baseball and Vincent Van Gogh has an ear! These will make a great gift for the traveler on your list.

Prints by Janice Earhart

Janice Earhart's prints of her original watercolors are peopled by characters from the village of Izoar. Janice's characters live by the philosophy that each individual is here to seek their highest knowing. In their search, each villager comes to understands that life is always in motion. A path has no beginning or an end, but rather remains a unique road for each person.
Knowing the road will keep appearing in front of them, they practice trusting without proof. For every milestone they cross and each mountain they climb another waits in the distance beckoning and smiling. They embrace their journey with peace knowing the universe will provide all that they need as they travel. The road is where they practice being patient and proactive both at the same time. It is a place of liquid delight and belly laughter. They understand the path is theirs alone and they can choose to enhance the journey by those they walk with. Utmost in the villager’s mind is that they own and are responsible for their lives. They live by the philosophy that each individual is here to seek their highest knowing.
